Level 2 Info

For your little musician, everything is an instrument, and everyday activities are worth singing about!
Our 1st Music Level 1 classes utilise your child's boundless energy and naturally creative personality to establish a genuine musical foundation through exploration and imaginative play, while discovering in-tune singing voices and respectful playing of real musical instruments (chime bars and hand drum along with various Orff percussion). Because Mums & Dads are a child’s first and favourite teacher, parents (and siblings in tow) are invited to share the last 15 minutes of class - join the fun and hear about our weekly Music@Home activities.

What to Expect:
Introduction to Musical Concepts and Language through songs, games & pretend play:
*Dynamics: Piano / Forte & Articulation: Staccato / Legato
*Tempo: Presto / Lento & Accelerando / Ritardando
*Beat: Ta Ta Ta Ta

*Technical focus on pitched (chime bars) and unpitched (nino hand drum) percussion – a playful introduction to the discipline of learning an instrument and accompaniment

Creative Movement & Dance with music from a variety of styles and cultures (including those represented in class)

Parent Involvement
Parents are able to observe the entire class from our Waiting Room and are invited join in the last 15 minutes of class. Plus, each week, Ms Becca will send an email reminder of what we learned and how the fun can continue with weekly Music@Home activities

Included:
*Access to Spotify playlist of music used in class
* Weekly email updates of material covered & ideas for musical play at home

Children will need:
Their own instruments to practice at home. Ms Becca will be able to suggest a range of affordable options…even the right pots and pans can be an inspiration!
