Next Level Music
First Year - Upper Sixth
& ready for the next level?

Small groups (4 - 8 students)
divided by stage (see below)

Why learn “musicianship” by just filling-in a workbook and memorising a few patterns…that’s not music! In Next Level Music, we take it off the page - immediately singing it, trying it, and applying it. With our small group setting, we have the chance to not only “talk it through” as each student wishes, but also write songs, compose / arrange for the class (including Orff Ensemble) - conduct it and hear it all come together… plus GCSE & A-level support!

Weekly Music@Home assignments will be marked in workbook.
We don't learn for the exam, we learn how music works… the exam is simply an easy (and optional) outcome for those who want to sit it.

Who:
Musicians aged 12 - 17 in formal music training who want to understand advanced musical concepts & structures, then use them!

What:
We offer 2 Levels:

  • Next Level Music: Grade 5+
For young people who have been doing music for a while and want to get or have recently taken the Grade 5 Theory Exam
  • Next Level Music: Kickstart
A fast paced class for young people who have not studied music in-depth, just yet, but are ready to understand it and get creative
